1/3/11 - 2/27/11
Happy New Year!

Yep, it's a fresh start, and my ideas have been spinning. I've decided (as teacher and exec. producer of this class) that we need a change! So, you being the luckiest students in the world are going to help me carry out a plan.

Idea 1: (This is not a suggestion. It's a HUGE graded requirement. I used the word idea to sound kind and encouraging)
We are going to totally revamp BASH -- Your style!

You will have this week to plan and turn in your formal ideas. (That doesn't mean short little paragraphs, but an entire detailed plan describing each segment in your show)

1. You and a two partners will produce a week of BASH. You will design the format and the flow.
2. The three of you will be totally in charge to assure that your show goes as planned.
3. You will come up with the various segments for the morning announcements....THE SHOW STYLE MUST BE DIFFERENT. (This BASH production is MY idea.)
4. Yep, that means you are responsible for NEW GRAPHICS (You will make them- you can ask any person in the class for help....they have to agree. Remember, you must help each other.)
5. One mandatory requirement is that you feature something REMARKABLE in our school through CREATIVE news packages.

REVIEW OF REQUIREMENTS
1. Format of show - including segment details
2. Staff list - Include specific job descriptions
3. Graphics
4. Remarkable and Creative news packages
5. Map of Studio set up
6. Draw camera directions
7. Provide a listing of camera movements throughout your show
8. Provide a format script
-Include the general format of the show....cues/cuts
-Intro and exit statement to each segment.....they must be specific....I mean word for word!
-Specific camera directions, set-up, movement plans
9. You will be responsible for a daily meeting before your show.
**10. RESPONSIBILITY LIST:
-You will make a list of every person in the class
-Include a specific duty that they will be assigned
-Include the duties and requirements
-Also, include the DATE IT WILL BE DUE

**YOU MUST FILM AN INTRO VIDEO BY FRIDAY, 1/14....YOU WILL SHOW THE ORIGINAL GROUP MEMBERS AND EXPLAIN WHAT YOU HOPE TO ACCOMPLISH DURING THE WEEK. THIS WILL AIR PRIOR TO YOUR FIRST PRODUCTION.

- REMEMBER, ALL WORK FOR THE SHOWS MUST BE COMPLETED BY FRIDAY, 1/14. WE WILL BE AIRING OUR SEGMENTS BEGINNING ON TUESDAY, 1/18.

BECAUSE WE HAD MANY SNOW DAYS AND TWO HOUR DELAYS, THE DATES HAVE CHANGED:
GROUP 1: 1/24 - BRITT, ALLY, ALEX
GROUP 2: 2/8- TRAVIS, MORGAN, DAKOTA
GROUP 3: 2/15 -ALLIE, MARY, TYLER
GROUP 4: 2/22 -BELLA, ED, AMANDA, ZACH
GROUP 5: 2/27 KIM, CHAD, ALYSSA
GROUP 6: 3/1 -THERESA, ADAM, ALEC

YOU WILL BE GRADED FOR YOUR PRODUCTION AS WELL AS YOUR PARTICIPATION IN THE OTHER GROUPS. (EACH GROUP WILL EVALUATE YOUR CONTRIBUTIONS TO THEIR GROUPS)

I have noticed that many of you are arriving late.....YOU must be here by 7:35 or you will be replaced and not receive a grade for the day. Remember, the success of BASH is your responsibility. We air at exactly 7:45. (The time you are required to be in your homeroom. You are permitted 10 minutes of locker time before the hr bell rings. Since we go to our lockers after BASH, you must be here by 7:35. )
Deadlines:
-The 10 written requirements will be turned in by Wednesday, 1/5/11
-You will turn in storyboards for your graphics by Friday, 1/7/11
-Your segment graphics will be due by Wednesday, 1/12/11

-We will broadcast each BASH for 1 week
-You won't know what week, I get to pick them. (So, you will only be informed on Thursday prior to your production week)
